Fantastic house tunes meet dark techno beats and create a powerful piece of striking techhouse. In "Somehow", Harry Axt is mixing peppy beats with shady mysteriousness. Next, with a steady and strong groove, Roland M.Dill releases the zombie and sucks you into a compelling kaleidoscope of intoxicating rhythm and sound where one question is pending "How Do You Know You are Not a Zombie" The time you turn, Rody is ready to catch you with a smooth yet impulsive track, which is drifting into your ears with a strong beat. Finally Mathias Schaffhäuser will fill you up with some experimentalism energy. "Arcane", as the name already may assume, opens up some mysteriousness: Weird sounds scratch where you don't expect them. It get's a little spooky, yet at no second groove is being compromised. Moreover, the entire piece is packed with snorky super power! Harry Axt "Harry Axt's distinctive productions are for dancers, shufflers, dreamers, ravers and bedroom bangers alike." What else do we need to say Probably that since his start with the Grand Petrol team in 2004, he has been releasing on a variety of renowned labels such as Leftroom, Snork Enterprises, and AFU Limited; or maybe that he has been remixing splendid names like Christopher Just, Broombeck, The Horrorist and Miro Pajic. However, one of the most crucial features about Daniel Steinberg's alter ego is his unpretentious irony that accompanies his character and his music. He is a little brusque. He is clumsy and a walking fashion laps. Harry Axt - what else could a German stereotype techno artist's be called Dark and bursting techno sounds - what else could he sound like Roland M. Dill As a young child, for Roland M. Dill, it was all about classical music education. He played the piano, the trumpet, the trombone, the alphorn, and the organ. During his youth, he won several prizes and operated as a choirmaster. So, his ears have been schooled pretty well ever since - for classical music, jazz, and subsequently also for techno. His first glance towards electronic music was Detroit. He admired artists such as Charles Siegling, Jeff Mills, Petar Dundov, and finally became a producer himself. Since his first release in February 2008 on Trapez ltd., Roland M. Dill has proven himself as a remarkable techno producer with a distinct sense for rhythm and who soon became well-known within the scene - at the latest with his big success of the remixes from Minilogue's "Space", Lucio Aquilina's "Disco Bus", or Extrawelt's "Im Garten von Eben". Also, his three different remix versions of "I Want it All" for the Depeche Mode album "Remixes 2: 81-11" on (Mute Records) spread the word about Roland M. Dill. Considering his musical background, it is almost self-evident that all of his productions include a lot of analog instruments. He rarely uses music programs. And, he pursues musical freedom. No message, function, or advocacy is included in his art. It's just the music itself, and its sole function is techno. Early in his childhood, he made his first contact to music when he learned to play the drums in music school. Yet, it took some more years until Robert Jähnert aka Rody discovered his interest for electronic music and eventually started off as a drum'n'bass and jungle vocal artist in the middle of the 90s. Together with some friends, he put his drum'n'bass addictions into action and founded the Breakaholics in Butzbach, a small city close to Frankfurt. As he moved to Hamburg a couple of years later, he continued his activities and founded the Elbdisharmonie festival. After 15 years of break beats, deep house and techno tunes filled his style with some new inspiration - by the way, two genres, to which also his friend and former band-mate Martin Stimming had turned. Meanwhile as an art director, music contents also started to play an increasingly important role in Rody's job life and so he decided to learn the basics of music production at the SAE Institute in Hamburg. Since then, he has been busily playing with deep kicks and melodic leads, which he has already shown on his former release on Snork Enterprises. Mathias Schaffhäuser The last couple of months have been really creative year for Mathias Schaffhäuser. July 2015 saw the debut EP of PAWAS & SCHAFFHÄUSER on Compost Black Label featuring a collab with Gregor Schwellenbach and in April he released his 4th remix compilation called "RE:4 - Selected Remixes Vol. 4" on BluFin Records. In September he debuted on Biotop Label followed by another vinyl EP on OPAK Records in October - just to mention a few. But for sure, many people know him for "Hey little girl", his club hit from 2001, and his label WARE which he started in 1997, on which various contemporary electronic music artists have been released in their very early days, such as Benjamin Brunn, And.id, Dominik Eulberg or Audio Werner. Besides being a busy label manager and producer, he is especially known for his smashing remixes, which he has produced for Pan-Pot, Dapayk & Padberg, Northern Lite, Luomo and many other widely known artists. Outside the studio, his live acts are always an extraordinary blast, or as he describes it: "I mean, who squeezes techno and house tradition, spontaneous vocal performances, crude cover versions and melodica solos into a one-hour set, without constantly staring at a computer screen" SNORK ENTERPRISES It's a distinct sound diving deep down into the spheres of genuine underground techno where bass-lines surround your mind and the fascination of a gloomy yet groovy world of sounds inevitably enters your head. Founded in 2004 by techno DJ and producer Christian Schachta, known as Syntax Error, Snork Enterprises is a base for modern underground electronic techno music. It's not at all about being pretentious or arty for the sake of it. It's about real depth on the dance floor. Short and sweet: very snorky! It's a journey with friends such as Cristian Vogel, Phil Kieran, Jens Zimmerman, Daze Maxim, DJ W!ld and other big names from the techno scene having dedicated themselves to an uncompromising, stunning beat to go even further on a trip to the instantly exceptional, experimental sounds, ranging back to various roots of electronic underground.
